Qualifications

• Required Knowledge and Skills: knowledge of best practices for struggling students in reading and math.
• Ability to use assessment data to monitor learning and guide instruction.
• Ability to accelerate learning for struggling students in reading and math.
• Knowledge of the science of reading and mathematical concepts.
• Ability to use technology to support learning.
• Familiarity with board policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides high quality instruction to individual students and small groups.
• Uses data to drive instruction and bring skills to grade level.
• Collaborates with teachers, administration, and families to identify best practices.
• Uses research-based interventions focused on individual student needs.
• Maintains data-based documentation of student progress.
• Provides data to school teams and participates in decisions about student progress.
• Communicates progress to teachers, administration, and families.
• Assists with identifying students for intervention groups.
• Participates in meetings about placement and progress.
• Provides diagnostic assessments as needed.
• Attends trainings related to improving reading and math outcomes.
