Job summary

Autism FIRST in Stephens City, VA is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to deliver 1:1 ABA therapy under BCBA guidance in a clinic setting.

You’ll work Monday–Friday 3:45pm–7:15pm with occasional weekends; pay is $22–$29 per hour, onboarding includes two weeks of training (virtual 9–1 and in-person sessions), mileage reimbursement, and professional development support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active RBT certification strongly preferred.
• CPR certification required; reimbursement after 90 days.
• TB test required.
• Proof of auto insurance required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel locally between clinic and in-home sessions.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and respond quickly for client safety.
• Background screening clearance required.
• Enrollment in BCBA or BCaBA coursework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 ABA therapy
• Implement behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs under BCBA supervision
• Follow individualized treatment plans
• Collect and record accurate session data
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and families
• Attend scheduled supervision, training, and staff meetings
