Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. seeks a Ramp Supervisor to lead a team of ramp agents, ensuring safe, efficient ground handling of aircraft and timely turnarounds.

You will coordinate baggage handling, aircraft towing, and servicing while enforcing safety protocols and DOT regulations. The role emphasizes training, mentoring, strong communication with flight crews and airport staff, quick decision-making, and a customer-service mindset to uphold PrimeFlight's safety standards and service

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Eligible to work in Canada.
• Must possess a valid, provincially issued permanent driver’s license (e.g., Class 5 or Class G).
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ramp operations or a related aviation field.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Eligible to pass a background check and obtain RAIC.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the ramp team operations, including aircraft loading and unloading.
• Coordinate ramp activities to ensure timely turnaround of flights.
• Train and mentor ramp team members on procedures and safety protocols.
• Monitor team compliance with airline and airport regulations.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings to discuss daily tasks and safety focus points.
• Oversee baggage, cargo, and mail handling to prevent damage or loss.
• Manage communication between ramp team, flight crew, and ground operations.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of ground support equipment.
• Assist with safety measures and hazard prevention on the ramp.
• Respond to operational issues and emergencies.
• Promote teamwork to meet flight schedules and service standards.
• Maintain DOT compliance and train staff on regulation changes.
