Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services is seeking a Ramp Supervisor to lead a team of ramp agents and ensure safe, efficient handling of aircraft on the ground. You will coordinate baggage, towing, and servicing tasks while training staff and maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in ramp operations or a related aviation field.
• Proven supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of ramp safety and operational procedures.
• Must be able to access and interpret information in print and electronically (IPads/Tablets, Computers, mobile devices).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligible for required credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs as applicable).
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays due to 24/7 airline operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise ramp team operations including aircraft loading/unloading.
• Coordinate ramp activities to ensure timely flight turnarounds.
• Train and mentor ramp staff on procedures and safety.
• Monitor compliance with airline and airport regulations.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings and safety focus points.
• Oversee baggage, cargo, and mail handling to prevent damage or loss.
• Manage communication between ramp team, flight crew, and ground ops.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of ground support equipment.
• Enforce safety measures and hazard prevention on the ramp.
• Respond to operational issues and emergencies.
• Foster teamwork to meet flight schedules and standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
