Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. is seeking a Ramp Supervisor to oversee a team of ramp agents, ensuring safe, efficient aircraft ground handling, baggage and servicing operations, and timely turnarounds.

You will train staff, coordinate with flight crews and airport partners, and uphold high safety and service standards. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, ramp safety knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced airport environment, including nights,

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Must possess a valid, provincially issued permanent driver’s license (e.g., Class 5 or Class G).
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ramp operations or a related aviation field.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of ramp safety and operational procedures.
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically (IPads/Tablets, Computers, Mobile Devices).
• Eligible to pass a background check and obtain and maintain a RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card).
• Flight schedules require flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise ramp team operations (aircraft loading/unloading).
• Coordinate ramp activities for timely flight turnarounds.
• Train and mentor ramp team on procedures and safety.
• Monitor compliance with airline and airport rules.
• Conduct pre-shift safety briefings.
• Handle baggage, cargo, and mail to prevent damage or loss.
• Communicate with ramp team, flight crews, and ground ops.
• Maintain safe use of ground support equipment.
• Enforce safety measures and hazard prevention.
• Respond to operational issues and emergencies.
• Promote teamwork to meet schedules and standards.
• Evaluate performance and provide feedback.
• Adhere to DOT regulations for operations and staff training.
