Job summary

Southwest Airlines is seeking a Ramp Agent in Denver to work outdoors, guiding planes, moving bags and cargo, and supporting de-icing during cold weather. This is a part-time role with 32 hours over 5 days, following a seniority-based bidding process.

New hires undergo 4–6 weeks of training, then transition to 6.5-hour shifts over 5 days, with potential overtime. A valid US work authorization is required, and a 70 lb lifting capability is expected.

Qualifications

• Ramp Agent training with a 90% or higher average is required.
• Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge and meet airport requirements.
• U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to lift and move items up to 70 pounds regularly.
• Shift work and/or overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly service to customers and coworkers.
• Assist in guiding planes, loading/unloading baggage and cargo.
• Operate aircraft support equipment and drive vehicles as needed.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of ramp areas.
• Adhere to all training and security procedures.
