Job summary

Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR, is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a part-time day shift (Mon and Tue, 10am–10:30pm). A $4,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible external candidates along with Providence’s comprehensive benefits starting on day one.

The Technologist performs imaging studies per physician orders, using advanced equipment, while considering patient age-related needs and applying ALARA to minimize exposure.

Qualifications

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirements.
• Upon hire: Oregon Radiographer License or Oregon Radiographer Temporary License.
• New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs imaging examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of imaging equipment.
• Considers patient age-related needs and positioning factors to produce high-quality images.
• Uses ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
