Job summary

Southwest Virginia Community College in Richlands, VA seeks hourly Radiology Clinical Instructors to educate and supervise radiography students in clinical settings.

In this role you will provide supervision and instruction, perform competency evaluations, and maintain student records while upholding FERPA and confidentiality.

The position requires ARRT Radiography credential, CPR certification, and the ability to travel to clinical sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Ability to use instructional and clinical tracking technologies.
• Shall be credentialed in Radiography in good standing by ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Provides students with appropriate and adequate clinical supervision.
• Provides students with appropriate and adequate clinical instruction.
• Performs clinical competency evaluation for each student assigned to their supervision.
• Maintains confidentiality in accordance with program policy.
• Meets regularly with program officials to communicate student progress, strengths, and weaknesses.
• Wears PPE as required by facility and/or patient condition.
