Qualifications

• Requires a Baccalaureate Degree or higher and ARRT certification.
• Texas State Department of Health Certified MRT.
• Transcripts, Certifications, & Current License must be submitted with application.
• Minimum two years as practicing radiologic technologist.
• Minimum one year as clinical instructor in an accredited radiography program.

Responsibilities

• Visit clinical education sites regularly for site observations.
• Observe students in departments at clinical sites.
• Correct technical performance when needed.
• Prepare course outlines for clinical sections.
• Counsel students on progress and performance.
• Review student competencies, absences, scores, and counseling notes.
• Maintain rapport with adjunct clinical staff for open communication.
• Assist clinical instructors with program or student issues.
• Ensure conduct aligns with JRC Standards.
• Keep a journal of clinical visits and actions.
• Evaluate clinical instructors’ effectiveness.
• Teach on-campus classes as needed.
