Job summary

UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA is seeking a part-time Diagnostic Technologist to join the imaging team. The role involves varied shifts and may include a sign-on bonus with a work commitment; we welcome experienced imaging professionals and new grads to apply.

Technologists perform imaging procedures with minimal supervision, utilize imaging equipment for data acquisition, and ensure proper patient identification and documentation.

Qualifications

• ARRT Registry eligible as a Radiologic Technologist.
• CPR/BLS required and compliant with AHA standards.
• ARRT certification/licensure requirements as described.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patients using two identifiers and applies universal protocol.
• Administers PO and rectal contrast per orders.
• Codes and tracks exams in RIS and archives data to ISITE.
• Performs radiography procedures per established protocols.
• Operates imaging equipment and documents data per protocol.
• Communicates with patients and collaborates with team to ensure care.
• Adjusts protocols with independent judgment for diagnostic purposes.
• Explains procedures to patients to alleviate fears and obtain cooperation.
