Responsibilities

• Identify patients with two identifiers and follow universal protocol
• Administer PO and rectal contrast per orders
• Ensure exams are coded in RIS and archived in ISITE; charges entered
• Perform diagnostic radiography procedures per protocol without constant supervision
• Use imaging equipment to acquire and document image data per protocol
• Interact with patients and staff with empathy, dignity and respect
• Adjust protocols with independent judgement for diagnostic imaging
• Explain procedures clearly to patients to alleviate fears and gain cooperation
