Qualifications

• Mastery of radiologic procedures and patient care practices.
• ARRT certification and state licensure required.
• Proficiency with EMR and PACS systems for imaging documentation and billing.

Responsibilities

• Start up and shut down X-Ray equipment.
• Identify patient and confirm order for examination.
• Prepare patient and perform radiologic procedures with safety protocols.
• Obtain patient history and document observations.
• Use radiation protection and shielding materials.
• Ensure equipment functioning and report malfunctions to Lead Technologist.
• Document radiology procedures in EMR/PACS for billing and charting.
• Obtain pre-authorization for CT scans as needed.
• Coordinate with providers to clarify radiology readings.
• Assist with site maintenance and stocking supplies.
• Support patient flow with basic medical assisting duties.
