Job summary

The Milwaukee Public Museum is seeking two part-time Public Safety Officers to cover rotating shifts and ensure 24/7 security for the 400,000+ square foot campus. You will patrol on foot, monitor cameras, respond to incidents, and document findings in clear written reports.

Ideal candidates are customer-service oriented, able to stay calm under pressure, and comfortable working with diverse teams and visitors.

Qualifications

• Ability to patrol and observe for irregularities and document them clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to write concise incident reports.
• Customer-service oriented with the ability to interact professionally with visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the museum on foot and monitor security across the building.
• Observe and report irregularities using all five senses and written reports.
• Respond to incidents and coordinate with departments via radio.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
• Provide support during emergencies and ensure security of assets.

Job description

Milwaukee Public Museum is looking for two (2) Part-Time Public Safety Officer to work rotating shifts.
