Job summary

Milwaukee Public Museum is seeking two part-time Public Safety Officers to safeguard exhibits and ensure the safety of staff and visitors in a 400,000+ square foot facility.

Officers will monitor 200 cameras, patrol on foot, and report observations. Flexible schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays are required; strong customer service, calmness under pressure, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• 1 year security experience preferred.
• DAAT or de-escalation training preferred.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience with access control systems like C-Cure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard museum collections and ensure the well-being of employees and visitors.
• Use senses to observe irregularities and document them in written reports.
• Patrol the building on foot.
• Monitor cameras and coordinate with multiple departments via radio.
