Job summary

Kilgore College invites applications for a Part-Time PTA Instructor to deliver classroom and lab instruction aligned with the physical therapy curriculum. The role includes evaluating student performance, maintaining records, and fostering an engaging learning environment that supports student success.

The instructor collaborates with program faculty to ensure CAPTE accreditation standards are met and participates in professional development and accreditation reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Active, unencumbered PT or PTA license.
• Minimum of 5 years full-time post-licensure experience, including 3 years clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and lab instruction aligned with course objectives.
• Evaluate student performance with timely feedback.
• Maintain attendance and grade records per policy.
• Provide clear course expectations, syllabi, objectives, and materials.
• Foster an engaging learning environment and promote student success.
• Refer students to campus resources as needed.
• Utilize LMS and instructional tech for teaching and records.
• Maintain lab equipment and report needs.
• Collaborate with Program Director and faculty on retention and program effectiveness.
• Adhere to CAPTE standards and accreditation guidelines.
