Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join the Ocean County Senior Living team. The PTA will provide one-on-one therapy visits to adult and geriatric clients living in senior living communities throughout Ocean County, NJ.

You will work closely with a licensed Physical Therapist to help clients improve mobility, strength, balance and independence in their home environment, with flexible scheduling and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey PTA license or eligible and graduate of PTA program per APTA guidance.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with independence in scheduling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients, families and teammates.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred, travel to senior living sites required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one skilled physical therapy treatments and interventions as delegated by a licensed PT.
• Implement individualized plans of care including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training.
• Monitor client progress and communicate changes to supervising PT.
• Educate clients, families and caregivers on exercises, safety strategies, and home programs.
• Document treatments and client progress accurately in the EMR.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support positive outcomes.
