Saint Anselm College wishes to hire a Laboratory Technician for the Psychology Department for the 2026-2027 academic year. The role is part-time (20–25 hours per week, 32 weeks per year) to assist in implementing and maintaining research labs.

Responsibilities include managing the human subject pool for majors and faculty, developing lab modules for research-method courses, and maintaining hardware/software for data collection such as eye-tracking and psychophysiological measures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must be computer-literate and have a working knowledge of a statistical software such as SPSS, JASP, SAS, as well as creating surveys such as using Qualtrics or Google forms.
• Successful applicants will have additional experience or willingness to learn Unreal, Unity Engines, or managing developer identities in game design programs.
• A transcript indicating completion of the undergraduate degree will also be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and administering a human subject pool program for use by majors and department faculty.
• Creating and conducting laboratory modules for a rotating selection of research method courses.
• Coordination and maintenance of computer hardware and software for observational data, psychophysiological measures, and reaction time studies.
• Updating and providing student training for such equipment (e.g. eye tracker).
• Creating and maintaining a database of measures (e.g. surveys, cognitive tests) for student research projects.
• Ordering and maintaining supplies for laboratory modules.
