Job summary

Saint Anselm College's Psychology Department seeks a laboratory technician for a part-time position for the 2026-2027 academic year (20-25 hours per week, 32 weeks per year) to assist in implementing and maintaining research labs.

Responsibilities include maintaining a human subject pool, creating laboratory modules, coordinating hardware/software for data collection, updating student training, and managing survey databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must be computer-literate and have a working knowledge of SPSS, JASP, SAS, and creating surveys with Qualtrics or Google Forms.
• Experience or willingness to learn Unreal, Unity Engines, or managing developer identities in game design programs.
• A transcript indicating completion of the undergraduate degree will be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer a human subject pool for majors and department faculty.
• Create and conduct laboratory modules for rotating research method courses.
• Coordinate and maintain computer hardware and software for observational data, psychophysiological measures, and reaction time studies.
• Update and train students on equipment (e.g. eye tracker).
• Create and maintain a database of measures for student research projects.
• Order and maintain supplies for laboratory modules.
