Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College is seeking part-time faculty to teach college parallel psychology and related courses at MATC campuses, online, and possibly evenings/weekends in Wisconsin. Assignments vary by course availability and department needs, with compensation per course hour and prep time.

Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in psychology (or 18 graduate credits in related fields). Preference for experience in curriculum development and bilingual Spanish/English abilities.

Qualifications

• Must have a master’s degree or higher in Psychology
• OR Master’s degree which includes 18 graduate level credits in Psychology, Counseling, Therapy, or Clinical Social Work
• Experience teaching and/or developing curriculum in varied classroom environments including in-person and online
• Ability to develop and update curriculum
• Bilingual Spanish/English fluency (read, write, speak) if applicable

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and deliver instruction and related teaching activities
• Manage the classroom/lab
• Develop and monitor curriculum; assist in program evaluation
• Manage equipment, supplies, and materials
• Assess student performance and advise on academic issues
• Collaborate with advisory committee and participate in department meetings
• Promote MATC programs and recruit/retain students
• Support student organizations and activities
• Develop relationships with business and industry
• Complete program evaluation and follow-up
• Maintain certification and pursue professional development
• Perform other duties as assigned
