Qualifications

• One year psychiatric experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of abnormal psychology typical of psychiatric populations.
• Familiarity with managing a therapeutic level system and rewards/consequences.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' condition and develop care plans; document and evaluate outcomes.
• Welcome patients to the unit.
• Maintain a safe therapeutic milieu with supervision of direct care staff.
• Ensure rounds and precaution records are kept in real time.
• Collaborate to facilitate admissions and transfers.
• Provide thorough handoffs on admission, transfer or discharge.
• Interact with patients, families, and health care providers to assess needs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary planning and treatment integration.
• Assist in staffing decisions and budget considerations.
• Participate in program evaluation and staff training.
