Job summary

Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas is seeking a Part Time Program Instructor to deliver engaging, age-appropriate programming for girls in grades 6-8 in Longview and East Texas. You will work with schools and community partners to promote leadership opportunities and girl-led activities.

The role involves travel within the service area, collaboration with site staff, and occasional evenings/weekends for events. Must have a high school diploma; bilingual helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or youth development experience preferred.
• Experience working with children or youth in educational or community settings.
• Experience working with nonprofit organizations, youth-serving organizations, volunteers, or community engagement preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fun, interactive, and age-appropriate programming aligned with the National Program Portfolio, adapted to each site.
• Foster a safe, inclusive environment that promotes Girl Scout values and leadership development.
• Incorporate Girl Scout traditions, cooperative learning, and girl-led activities to deepen engagement.
• Connect girls and families to broader opportunities including camps, cookie program, STEM Center events and council initiatives.
• Build positive relationships with site staff, teachers, caregivers, and girls.
• Accurately complete administrative tasks including attendance and forms; prepare spaces.
