Job summary

Girlstart is seeking an After School Program Leader to guide our hands-on STEM activities in North Texas, including Grand Prairie ISD, Irving ISD, Plano ISD, and Richardson ISD. Programs run after school for 1-1.5 hours, meeting once a week with a 20-25 student group.

Leaders will be trained and report to the Satellite Program Manager. Availability around 2 pm on school days is required; on-site at multiple elementary schools in the area.

Qualifications

• Experience working with kids preferred.
• Desire to empower and educate students in STEM.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Comfortable presenting to a group of students.
• Classroom management skills helpful.
• Proficient using Google Drive apps.
• Strong time management skills.
• All majors welcome (STEM background not required).

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on, STEM-focused after-school programs in North Texas.
• Be available around 2 pm; programs run 2:30-5:00 pm.
• Prepare lessons, drive to locations, supervise activities, and clean up.
• Attend mandatory trainings.
• Support program coordinators/managers.
