Job summary

Genus PLC is seeking a Temporary Part-time Production Lab Technician for ABS Global labs in Rio, WI and Windsor, WI. You will operate production equipment for processing cell sexing technology and assist in packaging under SOPs, with a 3-month assignment that can extend based on workload.

Weekend shifts are available: Day shift (5:00 AM – 5:30 PM) at $23.50/hr and Night shift (5:00 PM – 5:30 AM) at $26.50/hr; additional weekday hours may be offered.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be working toward a local High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in and attending a local course of education either in high school, GED program, technical college or university.
• Must live locally; no relocation.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift/transfer 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on always maintaining the highest level of quality.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Ability to utilize a computer, keyboard, and mouse to accomplish work tasks.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOP and maintain lab documentation; provide accurate, timely and quality packaging of bovine semen per ABS standards.
• Learn other ancillary processes throughout the production lab as needed.
• Adhere to proper cleaning, sanitation and sterilization protocols for all processing and collection equipment.
• Provide ideas for improvement in the work environment.
• Communicate issues to leads, supervisors, manager or support group.
• Perform all assigned duties based on daily production needs.
• Follow safe work procedures and report any incidents.
• Perform other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
