Job summary

Smart & Final, part of the Chedraui USA group, seeks a Part-time Associate (Produce) at 481 Baldwin Park, Baldwin Park, CA 91706. Starting rate is $18.50 per hour. You will assist with stocking, cashiering, carry-out, and store cleanliness in a fast-paced grocery warehouse format.

Qualifications

• Read and write English; interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, memos.
• Write simple correspondence and present information to others.
• Apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, frequently up to 45 lbs, occasionally up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive inventory, stock and maintain a store section, operate a cash register, and perform carry-out services.
• Stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays and refrigerated/frozen cases; prepare perishable products for sale.
• Clean and maintain sanitation in all interior and exterior areas; review invoices for accuracy.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, efficient customer service and assist customers to vehicles when needed.
• Perform basic bookkeeping and record lost/damaged goods and store supplies.
