Job summary

Smart & Final in Los Angeles is hiring a Part-time Retail Associate for 341 Los Angeles. Starting rate is $18.50 per hour.

You will stock, maintain store sections, assist customers, and help with loading purchases when needed. Qualifications

• Read and write English, interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned store sections and stock merchandise using proper equipment (excluding power/heavy equipment).
• Ensure proper pricing on merchandise, check product date codes, and maintain rotation on shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases.
• Prepare perishable products for sale as needed.
• Set up advertising/promotional displays.
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot.
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers by providing current store and product information.
• Assist customers in loading purchases into their vehicles when requested.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including recording Lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools.
