Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in hospital, clinic, or medical insurance billing office.
• Basic understanding of medical coding.
• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate prior authorizations and referrals for services, testing, and surgery.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating care with internal and external departments.
• Obtain and verify benefit eligibility and communicate with health plans.
• Provide patient education and follow-up regarding authorization processes.
• Maintain accurate information in systems and ensure timely processing of requests.
