Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in hospital, clinic, or medical insurance billing office.
• Basic understanding of medical coding.
• Proficient with EMR systems and general office software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate prior authorizations and referrals for tests, procedures and specialty care.
• Communicate with providers, clinics, health plans and patients to obtain approvals.
• Schedule appointments and manage referrals across departments and external partners.
• Update information in systems and maintain accurate documentation.
• Provide patient education and follow-up regarding authorization processes.
