Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Texas is seeking a physician to deliver outpatient care with emphasis on continuity of care, prevention and wellness for seniors. The role involves independent decision-making across moderately complex issues, with referrals to specialists as needed.

This PRN opportunity covers three outpatient clinic locations (Dallas, DeSoto, Grand Prairie) with W-2 employment and standard clinic hours. TB screening is required as part of Humana/Senior Bridge program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree not applicable (replaced by MD/DO requirement).
• Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of an accredited university.
• Licensure to practice in the state of jurisdiction, TX.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine.
• This role is patient facing and TB screening is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care focusing on prevention and continuity of care.
• Maintain medical records and patient history.
• Refer patients to specialists as needed.
• Travel between assigned clinic locations for coverage.

The Physician serves as a health-care professional and capable of handling a variety of health-related problems. The Physician work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Physician focuses on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention. Keeps a medical history and medical records. Refers the patient to specialists as needed. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5 or more years of technical experience
• Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction
• Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
• Prefer Internal Medicine specialty
• Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of two+ years of experience
• 1+ years of experience managing Medicare Advantage panel of patients
• Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and coverage.
• Knowledge of HEDIS quality indicators.

Additional Information

• PRN Physician opportunity covering three outpatient clinic locations
• Direct W-2 employment with the organization (not a 1099 position)
• Clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Preferred availability of at least three days per week
• Schedule based on clinic coverage needs; hours are not guaranteed
• Must be willing to travel between assigned clinic locations

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$310,000 - $368,500 per year
