Job summary

Children of America, Inc. is seeking a part-time Cook / Food Prep to prepare nutritious meals for children ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years old. You will follow posted menus, portion meals, and manage classroom food distribution in a busy kitchen environment.

The role emphasizes a strong work ethic, customer service, and the ability to work with young children. Training is provided, with benefits including healthcare and childcare discounts where offered.

Qualifications

• HSD or equivalent required.
• PlanServSage certification required.
• Experience cooking for schools/preschools is a plus but not required (paid training provided).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to posted menus.
• Determine meal counts and distribute food to classrooms.
• Remove trays and dispose of leftovers appropriately.
• Perform weekly inventory of food and supplies; submit needs list.
• Order food and supplies from approved vendors within budget.
• Check-in deliveries for accuracy.
• Keep kitchen and inventory clean and organized.
