Legacy Traditional Schools in Arizona is seeking a Preschool Teacher Assistant (Part Time) to work with the lead teacher in planning daily activities for students. This role supports supervision, meal assistance, and one‑on‑one interactions to reinforce learning and social development.

The position involves organizing the classroom, assisting with reading, math basics, and language skills; supervising during meals and play; and helping with clerical tasks and classroom setup across East Mesa and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Food Handler’s Card/Certification.
• Ability to obtain and hold a valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at all times.
• Must pass a criminal history background check.
• CPR and First Aid Certified.
• Ability to interact positively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
• Six months or more experience working in an early childcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in planning, developing, and implementing age‑appropriate curriculum.
• Provide support to lead teachers in devising and delivering lesson plans on a daily basis.
• Assist students, individually or in small groups, with reading, writing, language, numbers, and basic computer learning programs.
• Adapt classroom activities and materials to support goals and objectives.
• Monitor students in classroom and playground to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Assist during lunchtime, toileting, and cleaning activities.
• Maintain classroom supplies and records, and help prepare instructional materials.
• Provide a nurturing environment and report observations to staff.
