Job summary

Surgical Specialty Center of Mid-Atlantic is hiring a Part Time PreOp PACU RN in Bethesda, MD. The role focuses on post-anesthesia recovery, patient safety, and coordination of care as patients recover from general anesthesia or sedation.

The RN provides comprehensive patient care, participates in assessing and planning for discharge, and supports the surgical team in the PACU environment. Requires MD RN license, BLS/ACLS, and PACU/ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active Maryland RN license.
• BLS, ACLS; PALS if required by the center.
• Minimum 2 years in PACU or critical care preferred.
• Strong nursing judgment and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia.
• Monitor patient condition, ensure safety, comfort, and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedural rooms with appropriate tasks as needed.
