Job summary

Southpoint Surgery Center is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative care in our ambulatory surgery setting. You will collaborate with physicians and OR staff to ensure patient safety, accurate documentation, and smooth perioperative workflows.

Responsibilities include administering medications, coordinating pre-op tests, reviewing consents, and maintaining patient privacy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse License in NC
• Current American Heart Assn. BLS and ACLS certifications

Responsibilities

• Assess and implement pre-operative nursing care
• Document patient symptoms and changes accurately
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Prepare and discharge pre-operative patients per policy
• Review charts for accuracy and completeness
• Confirm surgical consent matches orders and OR schedule
• Notify anesthesiologist or surgeon of abnormal findings
• Maintain patient privacy and professional confidentiality
