Job summary

Montgomery County Intermediate Unit 23 is seeking a Program Aide for the Office of Early Childhood Services PreK Counts to support 3-5 year olds. This part-time role runs Monday through Friday, up to 5 hours daily, 180 days per year, at the MCIU Learning Academy in Norristown, PA.

Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate of $15.52. Qualifications include a genuine desire to help preschoolers grow socially and academically, the ability to relate to diverse families, and required clearances

Qualifications

• Desire to work with preschool students and help them grow socially and academically.
• Ability to relate to young children and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Own transportation is required for the role.
• Must have original clearance certificates: State Police, Child Abuse Registry and PDE FBI.

Responsibilities

• Help children develop self-help skills during mealtimes and toileting.
• Assist with meal preparation and classroom operations.
• Provide a safe and healthy learning environment.
• Prepare for, participate in, and clean up after activities.
• Support daily activities and promote independent skills per PA Early Learning Standards.
• Contribute to daily/weekly classroom planning and collaborate with the team.
• Engage with parents and foster community connections.
