Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools seeks a paraeducator for PreK in the Up County Early Childhood Center at Emory Grove Center. The role runs 12-2 pm, 2 hours daily, 10 months, to assist with lunch, recess and rest in a pre-k setting.

The position emphasizes supporting instruction, monitoring student progress, and providing classroom management support under supervision. AA degree required; Bachelor’s preferred; ParaPro score may be required.

Qualifications

• AA degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Two to four years of experience with children in structured educational settings preferred.
• ParaPro assessment with a qualifying score of 455+ may be required or considered.
• Combination of education, training, and experience evaluated to fit role.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and support learning in a pre-k inclusion program.
• Reinforce instruction, monitor performance and student well-being.
• Provide instructional supports and classroom management assistance.
• Perform related clerical tasks to support staff and classrooms.
