Job summary

Envista in Mahwah, NJ, seeks a part-time Dental Technician to bring dental lab–level finishing into a high-precision manufacturing environment. You will perform post-milling finishing, blending, contouring, and surface refinement using hand techniques rather than CNC, ensuring components meet final specifications.

Working within a production CNC milling team, you will handle small, high-tolerance parts, use lightweight handheld tools and foot-pedal devices, and support process improvements

Qualifications

• Experience in dental lab finishing within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform post milling finishing, blending, and surface refinement.
• Familiarity with 5S and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision finishing, blending, and surface refinement on small, high tolerance components.
• Handle and manipulate small components with pinch/squeeze grip across tasks.
• Operate handheld power, impact, and vibratory tools for brief durations to support finishing.
• Use foot pedal-operated tools to assist with material preparation and processing
• Perform equipment maintenance per procedures.
• Operate secondary equipment (Furnace, Ultrasonic Cleaner, Sandblaster, etc.) as required.
• Collaborate with team to improve processes via Kaizen.
• Conduct in-process inspection before hand-off to QC; may perform final QC as required.
• Identify and escalate quality concerns to the supervisor.
• Adhere to safety policies including 5S and housekeeping; participate in safety training.
