Job summary

iHealth is seeking a part-time Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) at our Eagan, MN location. The role supports Pre-Op, PACU, Phase II and procedure room care, with four 8-hour shifts per week. Shifts may run from 4:45 AM to 7:00 PM with flexible scheduling to meet department needs.

The RN will perform comprehensive perioperative assessments, administer meds, provide education and discharge planning, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred; combination of education and experience considered.
• Current RN license in MN or WI multi-state.
• One year PACU or critical care nursing experience preferred in last 5 years.
• Current ASNA membership preferred.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certification required or completed upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess holistic patient needs from pre-op to discharge and document findings.
• Review pre-admission screening and H&P within criteria.
• Assess needs, supplies and equipment for admission and recovery.
• Perform post-operative phone calls and provide triage as needed.
• Provide patient education and status updates to patient/family.
• Develop individualized perioperative care plans and reassess as needed.
• Administer medications as ordered and maintain aseptic technique.
