St. Madeleine Sophie School in Bellevue is seeking a part-time Instructional Assistant for Pre-K and Kindergarten for the 2026–2027 school year.

The role involves supporting instruction, student engagement, and daily classroom operations in collaboration with the classroom teacher. The position is 20-25 hours per week, with responsibilities including differentiation support, behavior reinforcement, material preparation, and supervision during various activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with young children preferred.
• Understanding of and respect for the mission of Catholic education.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lessons and instructional activities
• Support students with differentiation and accommodations
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students
• Support classroom management and reinforce positive behavior strategies
• Prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources
• Support students in developing independence, responsibility, and positive peer interactions
• Supervise students during classroom activities, specialist classes, and recess
• Help maintain an organized, orderly, clean, and safe classroom environment
• Support the integration of Catholic teachings and values into daily instruction
• Participate in prayer, school Mass, religious activities, and liturgical celebrations with students
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, families, and students
