Job summary

Anaheim Family YMCA is seeking a Swim Assistant Supervisor to help supervise operations at YMCA pool locations. You will instruct students, supervise instructors and lifeguards, and monitor the pool area for safety.

The position is part-time, seasonal, with hours varying Mon-Fri and weekends. Candidates should have customer service experience, be 18+, and hold CPR/AED certifications or obtain them soon after hire.

Qualifications

• Swim assistant supervisors must be at least 18 years or older.
• Customer service or member communication experience preferred.
• Experience with typical business software and office equipment preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience teaching swimming or lifeguarding recommended.
• Must maintain physical and mental readiness and demonstrate water safety skills.
• All employees must submit to background checks, health screening and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Oversee swim lessons, instructors, lifeguards and member communications.
• Implement YMCA practices to ensure safety and program quality and enforce rules.
• Maintain high level of physical and mental readiness and communicate with groups.
• Instruct swim classes or lifeguards as necessary.
• Support registrations and member service tasks.
