Job summary

Great Lakes Management is hiring a Part-Time PM Resident Assistant at Global Pointe Senior Living in Golden Valley, MN. You will provide hands-on care, assist with daily living activities, and support dining and activities, while communicating with residents and families and notifying the case manager of changes.

Shifts are 2pm–10pm or 8pm–10pm with every other weekend. Benefits include 401K match, health care, paid time off, floating holidays, and site-specific scholarships or student loan

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions in resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated on the service agreement.
• Help residents reach and maintain independence and highest level of functioning.
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Observe residents and report changes to the case manager.
• Interact to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection.
• Complete required documentation daily and maintain schedules.

Resident Assistant Job Details:

• Hours – Part-Time- 2pm to 10pm or 8pm-10pm and every other weekend.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing the hands-on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement. Responsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assists in the dining room and participating in activities and outings.

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc. to case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Qualifications:

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)
