Job summary

The Great Lakes Management family is hiring a Part-Time PM Resident Assistant for Global Pointe Senior Living in Golden Valley, MN. You will provide hands-on care and emotional support to residents, assist with activities of daily living, and help ensure comfort and safety in the evening hours.

Working 2pm–10pm or 8pm–10pm with every other weekend, you’ll collaborate with nursing staff to follow care plans, document daily observations, and engage residents in meaningful activities while

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred.
• Registered Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, or CNA certification preferred.
• Ability to make decisions in residents' best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated in service agreements.
• Help residents reach and maintain the highest level of independence.
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Observe residents and report changes to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance and engagement.
• Complete required documentation daily.

Resident Assistant Job Details:

• Hours - Part-Time - 2pm to 10pm or 8pm-10pm and every other weekend.
• Pay Range - $19 - $22 / hour

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing the hands-on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident's service agreement. Responsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assists in the dining room and participating in activities and outings.

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc. to case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Qualifications:

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident's best interests
