Job summary

Takeda is seeking a part-time Phlebotomy Technician to support BioLife plasma center operations in San Marcos, CA. The role focuses on donor screening, phlebotomy, and ensuring donor safety and high-quality service. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and participate in a structured training program.

Looking for reliable candidates who can work evenings, weekends, and holidays. A current CPT1/CPT2/CLS/MLT certification in the relevant state is required, with prior customer-facing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years minimum experience in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.
• Current license or certification in the state where duties will be assigned: CPT1, CPT2, CLS, or MLT.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors, focusing on donor safety and service.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger-stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for process improvements and implement approved changes.
• Work varied shifts including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
