Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Security Guard to protect the facility's physical security, including patrols and post assignments. The role involves inspecting visitors and vehicles, controlling entry, and reporting incidents.

Primary duties include checking identifications, screening carry-in items, and conducting investigations as needed. The position is part-time (up to 30 hours/week) with a 3AM-10AM shift and requires a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Investigative skills helpful but not mandatory.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal communication under stress.
• Environment: Able to work hot and cold temperatures.
• Other: Able to work independently under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Check identification of visitors, vendors, contractors, and Team Members and allow only authorized personnel.
• Inspect carry-in items such as bags, toolboxes, lunchboxes, etc.
• Write investigative reports after incidents.
• Conduct preliminary investigations of accidents, thefts, workplace violence.
• Roam or walk plant areas to ensure security.
• Log truck traffic and inspect vehicles entering/leaving the facility.
