Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited PTA program with an associate degree.
• Must hold current state licensure or certification as required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provides PT services under the direction of a licensed physical therapist.
• Delivers treatments per plan of care to relieve pain and restore function.
• Aids patients in therapeutic exercises and gait training.
• Uses modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation as directed.
• Notes patient response and communicates changes to the supervising PT.
• Educates patients on care, assistive devices, and home exercise programs.
• Maintains accurate clinical records within required timeframes.
• Participates in in-service education and quality improvement activities.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
