Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a part-time/per diem Physical Therapy Assistant to support the Rehab unit. The PTA will work under a licensed PT to implement treatment plans for patients across the age continuum and provide education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an American Physical Therapy Association accredited PTA program.
• Associate degree and MD/PTA licensure eligibility before hire date.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Implement the written treatment plan and administer treatment per goals.
• Educate patients and families on equipment use and home exercises.
• Assist in discharge planning by coordinating with patients, families, and community.
• Continuously assess patient status and treatment effects.
• Review and adjust goals with patient and family during care.
