Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD, seeks a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to support licensed physical therapists in a rehabilitation unit. You will deliver treatment within your license scope, assist with plan of care, and educate patients and families to promote recovery.
This per diem, day-shift role emphasizes discharge planning, collaboration with the care team, and ongoing assessment of progress. A PTA program graduate with MD licensure eligibility and BLS is required.
Provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to patients across the age continuum. Assists the physical therapist within established guidelines to develop a rehabilitative plan of care with realistic goals, based on a functional evaluation or reassessment. Provides education to patients, family members, students, staff and to the community at large. Coordinates services with other medical disciplines, making recommendations as appropriate to facilitate a complete rehabilitative process. Participates in Performance Improvement and Risk Management.

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
