Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist for day shifts. This role requires assessing, planning and implementing physical therapy care for patients across all ages, in compliance with Maryland state law and the APTA Code of Practice and Ethics.

You will collaborate with physicians, staff and families to ensure high-quality care. Candidates must hold a Maryland PT license, a current CPR certification, and a degree (B.S./M.S./D.P.T.).

Qualifications

• Current Maryland license verified by the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Current CPR certification.
• Graduate of an accredited program with a B.S., M.S. or D.P.T. in Physical Therapy.
• Adherence to the APTA Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics.
• Ability to evaluate and treat patients in any hospital unit within scope of practice; English proficiency.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to become proficient with documentation, scheduling and charging systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement physical therapy care and treatment per Maryland law and APTA Ethics.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure quality care.
• Provide assessment and care for patients from neonates to geriatrics.
• Apply growth and development principles appropriate to each patient’s age.
• Participate in department guidelines and best practices as training may require.
