Job summary

Houston Physicians Hospital – Aquatic Care Therapy in Houston, TX is hiring a Part Time Physical Therapist to provide evaluation, treatment, and patient education under physician direction. You will interact with patients and physicians, maintain accurate documentation for billing, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• State Physical Therapy licensure required.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with both patients and physicians.
• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to accurately document information for billing purposes.
• Experience with Word, Excel, and Electronic Medical Record Documentation.

Responsibilities

• Physical Therapy evaluation and treatment as ordered by prescribing physician.
• Participate in treatment review, progress, and ongoing patient care reassessments.
• Education of patient and caregiver(s).
• Accurate documentation to ensure timely and correct billing.
• Direct and assist occupational therapy staff as necessary.
• Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with patients, physicians and employees.
• Provide necessary educational services and participates in facility in-service activities.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a safe and clean working environment, including physical plant, equipment maintenance and supply inventory levels.
• Assumes any other responsibilities that may be assigned by the department manager.
