Mathematica, Inc. is seeking part-time Phone Project Assistants to work remotely for our Survey Operations Center in support of national research projects.

The role involves conducting telephone interviews with study participants and entering responses into a CATI-based database. Candidates should have 1–3 years in customer service or research, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work at least 20 hours weekly, including some weekend shifts.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

We are currently looking for part-time Phone Project Assistants to work remotely for our Survey Operations Center in support of important national research projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct research interviews with study participants by telephone.
• Use a Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) system for all outreach.
• Follow standardized procedures and scripts verbatim to ensure study consistency across surveys.
• Enter survey responses into a database.
• Assist with other survey-related tasks as required.

Required Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of prior customer service, call center, research, or interviewing experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with all people.
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and a commitment to reliability and high-quality productivity.
• Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week; weekend availability required.

We offer a starting hourly pay rate of $17.20 with a potential for benefits and paid time off.

This position is categorized as on-call, and as such, the hours may at times vary based on project needs. Your employment will be classified as on-call until the duration of the project(s) or need(s) is complete.
