Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Full-Time Specimen Collector Phlebotomist in Lexington, KY. The role involves collecting blood, urine, and saliva, processing and shipping specimens, and acting as a liaison between clinics and the laboratory.

The ideal candidate is a certified phlebotomist with 1+ year of field experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to navigate smartphones and computer systems. A valid driver's license is required and travel between facilities may be needed.

Qualifications

• Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year of experience in the field.
• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in medical field supporting patients preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient blood, urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as an intermediary between the practice/clinic and the laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens when applicable.
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required.

Full Time Female Specimen Collector Phlebotomist? Location: Lexington, KY Schedule: Full-Time | Monday to Friday 9:00am-4:00pm Seeking: Female candidates required for observed collections of gender identified female patients.

The Specimen Collector Phlebotomist is a key role at Millennium Health. As our representative, this position provides exemplary care and exceptional customer service to patients, clinicians, and our laboratory.

As a Specimen Collector Phlebotomist:

• Collect patient blood, urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens?
• Process and package collections for shipping
• Serve as an intermediary between the practice / clinic and the laboratory?
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite?
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable)
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required

Requirements Ideal Candidate:??

• Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year experience in the field (experience considered in place of certificate)
• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years of experience in the medical field, directly supporting patients preferred
• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smart phone and computer required
• Valid driver's license required; reliable transportation
• Medical insurance/billing and/or familiarity with medications/diagnostic codes is a plus
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Physical requirements: sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs

• SAM (System for Award Management) and OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusions
