Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Part-Time Female Specimen Collector Phlebotomist in Fort Wayne, IN to collect blood, urine and saliva specimens, ensuring proper labeling and chain-of-custody for each sample. As our frontline representative, you will provide exemplary patient care and collaborate with clinicians and our laboratory, while maintaining accurate documentation and timely processing.

Qualifications

Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year experience in the field.
6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in the medical field, directly supporting patients.
2+ years of customer service experience.
Ability to navigate a smart phone and computer.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Physical requirements: sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

Collect patient blood, urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
Process and package collections for shipping.
Serve as an intermediary between the practice / clinic and the laboratory。
Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable).
Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required.
